Strategy Bugs is a business management consultancy built for the Design Industry.
We’re based in a heritage building in Fremantle’s West End, surrounded by an incredible community of architects, interior designers, art consultants, and students.Our team is made up of creative thinkers and practical problem-solvers who understand the unique challenges of running a design business. We work closely with our clients to strengthen the foundations—finances, systems, workflows—so they can focus on doing what they do best.

Caron Brown
Founder & Director
Caron is the Founder and Director of Strategy Bugs and brings a wealth of experience from over two decades in the architecture and design industry. Since launching her consultancy in 2021, she has worked closely with more than 40 architecture and interior design practices across Australia—helping them strengthen their business foundations and reach their goals with clarity and confidence.
Prior to founding Strategy Bugs, Caron was the Business Manager at Kerry Hill Architects in Fremantle for over ten years, where she developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that creative practices face.
Her passion lies in supporting small to mid-sized studios to thrive—not just operationally, but strategically—by building systems that align with their values, workflows, and long-term vision. Caron’s approach is practical, collaborative, and rooted in a genuine commitment to seeing creative businesses flourish.

Bailey Brown
Operations & Systems Specialist
With a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance, Bailey has been a core part of the Strategy Bugs team for over four years. His strength lies in navigating the often-overlooked corners of a business’s administrative history—uncovering patterns, identifying inefficiencies, and bringing structure to the chaos.
Bailey thrives on creating systems that are not only streamlined and practical but also deeply aligned with the way each practice actually works. His work brings clarity and calm to what can often feel like overwhelming operational challenges—freeing up teams to focus on what they do best. Whether it’s untangling legacy processes or building scalable foundations, Bailey’s approach is thoughtful, thorough, and grounded in a genuine desire to help practices thrive.

Software Developer
Chelsi is currently completing a Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Queensland and plays a key role in bringing our digital tools to life. With a keen eye for both functionality and user experience, she helps bridge the gap between technical execution and design intent.
Her strong understanding of the design process—gained through both academic experience and hands-on collaboration—makes her an invaluable asset during the development phase. Chelsi contributes not only to clean, efficient code but also to solutions that align with our broader vision for intuitive, user-friendly platforms.
